Heimdall -- She is someone who’s essentially a soldier in terms of the vampire world and she’s devoted herself to that, as well as desiring to protect Luca, her master. She’s willing to do anything to protect him as well as others she’s grown closer to.

Frigg -- Not much else matters except keeping those she loves, safe. Getting emotional if they are threatened, and having lost her parents at a young age has left her without much of a strong maternal figure in her life as well.

Personality:

At first glance, Jeanne is someone who on the surface appears to be tough, mean and completely unforgiving. This is mostly just her attitude when it comes to her job as Chevalier to Luca Oriflamme, which makes her something of a bodyguard and she is fiercely protective of him as a result of this. She won’t let anyone harm him if she can avoid it and is rather sympathetic and not above begging someone to spare him, even if it put her in danger/harm’s way.

She is strong and powerful in that regard, though that’s not all there is to her.

When outside of her job and devotion to Luca, Jeanne is courteous, polite and rather kind to others where it’s due. Trying to be considerate if she’s able to, which may come as a result of the tutelage she received under Lord Ruthven’s care years before the current storyline. Even in her youth she appeared to be outspoken, sweet and very honest even in lieu of having lost her parents at a young age, and was full of energy.

At times she can appear to come off as rather impulsive, once having grabbed Vanitas and carried him off under one arm so she could take him away to speak with him in private, and had also decided she would try and make Vanitas hate her by pretending to be in love with him since that’s the kind of person he doesn’t want. It backfired on her horribly and is implied she’s beginning to have actual feelings for him, but it’s really hard for her to actually admit this. Which leads into that due to her upbringing and job before as essentially a slayer of vampires who sided with humanity, she’s VERY unused to kindness and it’s REALLY easy to fluster her when she’s given it.

She’s not experienced much things and wasn’t allowed to ‘live’ her life which means there’s a lot she hasn’t seen in the world which as a result has her being a very curious individual who isn’t afraid to ask questions. Jeanne would prefer not to bother others which ties into her polite nature when it comes to strangers and tends to act mostly rather ladylike, believing she is undeserving of things that people give her and is very humble.

Jeanne is the type of girl who is unafraid to pay back debts she owes to others and unintentionally got herself attached to Vanitas whom she claims she still dislikes. Vanitas stole her first kiss and later forced her into an agreement where he told her he won’t share her secret if she agreed to only drink blood from him and called him by his name instead of just ‘human’. Her impulsiveness comes into full force with him, to the point she doesn’t exactly consider how certain actions might come off to him… such as when he had saved her from being hit with a poisoned blade and she took him not only to a place to take care of him, but since he was unwell, had him strip down (since wearing wet clothes wouldn’t help any) and forced him to drink medicine via a kiss.

Something which had her absolutely mortified because she didn’t think things through all the way and resulted in something of a panic attack + a mass amount of blushing.

On another note, she has been keeping it secret from Luca that she has this impulse to drink blood to the point that the smell of blood has made her lose control recently. Essentially she’s a curse bearer - which is bad in this case - and she’s worried about losing control to the point she hurts Luca or that he may look at her differently if he knew she was assailed with that awful impulse, and has been taking medicine to control that impulse but it doesn’t appear that it lasts that long. Vanitas has promised her that he’d kill her if that time comes when she can’t control herself, something Jeanne herself has not protested in the slightest.

She is unafraid of asking others for help, as she did with speaking with Lady Dominique De Sade to once get a nice dress to wear for her ‘date’ with Vanitas and being earnest in hopes the woman could help her with advice on how to dissuade Vanitas from liking her. As well, it appears as if there’s some things even she cannot talk about but that is something out of her control.

At times Jeanne can get a little desperate when it comes to drinking blood, partially due to her wish of not losing herself and it goes without saying that she’s the type who will try and keep her inhuman nature hidden as well as she possibly can. She’s a good girl at heart who’s been through a lot with losing her parents, having to fight in something of a war, being put into an induced sleep and essentially used as a tool rather than the person she is underneath all of that. Wishing to save others and pay them back for what they’ve done to help her, grateful and sweet underneath what might come off at times as being cold and angry.

One can never forget she’s a fighter and won’t give in easily, and is smart in a lot of battle aspects, not willing to back down if she can protect those she cares for. Some things can get under her skin relatively easy and has a bit of a temper, though it’s usually not directed at other people unless their name just happens to be Vanitas. She also can come off as a bit gullible at times as well, though mostly has a level head and decent priorities most of the time, never the kind to back down and would likely sacrifice herself in place of those she is protective over.
